Museums, stars in that dark night!

Old souls are found at those historic places which are getting lost under the name of developing cities. But these museums are like the stars in that dark night sky, giving us beautiful glimpse of our history.

One such 3 storey museum was built in Pune, in the year 1962 famously known as Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum. As the name suggests, museum was built by Baba Dinkar Kelkar in the remembrance of his son whom he lost at very young age. The museum has almost 20,000 articles which belongs to different parts of the world collected by Baba Kelkar himself.

He was able to assimilate impressive artefacts collection of carved palace doors, all kinds of musical instruments, paintings and other antiques, paintings related to mythological epic Ramayana, various guns and swords, beautiful pottery collection, Mughal lamps, vessels made up of terracotta, copper and brass, clothes worn by different tribes, nutcrackers, etc. However he handed over his assimilations to Department of Archaeology Government of Maharashtra.

The museum’s most attractive part is the replica of Mastani Mahal. The room with ancient paintings, decor, grand chandelier takes one to those historic times when kings ruled. Being situated in the part of old crowded city you can feel the utter silence and that ancient scent as you pass through each segment. If one wishes to get attached to our history and culture, should really visit the museum at least once.

  3. These trimmers were almost always simple to start, powerful, and
durable. If the grass is low enough, make use of a lawn mower
to reduce it with a comfortable height. You will find that these
come in various sizes from small to mid-sized to improve enable you to maintain your grass.
